Concord Grape Belt Heritage Area Management Planning Commission
Minutes of the Interview Committee October 1, 2009, 10:00 AM

Cornell University Grape Research and Extension Laboratory, Portland.
Present: Don McCord, Andrew Nixon, Martha Bills, Rick Dunst and Andrew Dufresne.

The committee met to finalize the selection of a consulting firm to contract with to complete the Concord Grape Belt Heritage Area Management Plan. Last week the committee interviewed representatives from Bergmann Associates and Peter J. Smith and Company, Inc., but did not reach a decision at that time.
Additional information was reviewed and after considerable discussion it was moved, 2nd, and passed unanimously to contract with Peter J. Smith and Company to complete the Management Plan and to negotiate with Peter Benton from Heritage Strategies, LLC to provide additional planning input for the heritage area interpretive program and grape discovery center.

Don McCord will take the lead in reaching a contract with Peter J. Smith.
